We're partnering with a school to hire a dedicated Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year with our client in Hunt County, TX. This is an on-site contract role.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Follows district school schedule
- Location: On-Site, up to 40 hours weekly
- School Year: 2026/2027
- Caseload:
- ECSE teacher positions at our Early Childhood Campus
- Stuctured Teach Teacher
- Life Skills Teacher
- Functional Academics Teacher
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to student disability-related learning needs.
- Support classroom/program structures designed for targeted student populations (e.g., autism support, behavior intervention, life skills).
- Adapt curriculum and daily lessons using evidence-based strategies aligned to student goals.
- Implement appropriate sensory supports and/or assistive/adaptive tools to promote access and engagement.
- Collaborate with campus teams to maintain consistent supports and monitor student progress.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Active Texas teaching certificate with the required endorsements/training for the assigned level and subject area.
- Demonstrated competence in the core academic subject area assigned.
- Texas Special Education Specialist EC-12 (186) certification (current).
- Texas Special Education EC-12 (161) certification accepted through September 1, 2026 (if already held).
