This contract role will start on September 22, 2026, and run through May 28, 2027. The position requires on-site presence, involving full-time hours aligned with the school schedule during the 2026-2027 academic year. ESL Teacher - High School Math Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction to high school students in English as a Second Language, with a focus on math content.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and support language acquisition alongside math skills.
- Assess students' progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with school staff to support students' academic and language development goals.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence.
ESL Teacher - High School Math Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois teaching license or certification in ESL or Bilingual Education.
- Prior experience teaching English as a Second Language, preferably at the high school level.
- Strong understanding of math curriculum and instructional strategies for English language learners.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work on-site and engage effectively with diverse student populations.
