Location: Chicago, Illinois, On-Site, 35 hours per week
School Year: 2026-2027
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's needs.
- Collaborate with general education staff and support teams to design inclusive lesson plans.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
- Manage classroom behavior and facilitate social skill development.
- Communicate regularly with families and support staff regarding student development.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois State LBS1 Teaching Certification for Special Education.
- Experience working within inclusive or specialized classroom settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers and support staff.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
