Onward Education is partnering with a school district in Boulder County, Colorado<\/strong> to hire a Paraprofessional \/ Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)<\/strong> for the 2026\/2027 school year<\/strong>. This is a full-time, on-site<\/strong> role supporting elementary students with autism<\/strong>. The Paraprofessional\/RBT will report to the Principal<\/strong> and Special Education Director<\/strong> and will provide instructional, behavioral, and student support aligned to classroom goals and student plans.<\/p>\n

Position Details:<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Role:<\/strong> Paraprofessional \/ RBT (Paraeducator or certified RBT; note: no BCBA supervision available)\n
  • Location:<\/strong> On-site<\/strong>\n
  • Hours:<\/strong> 35 hours\/week<\/strong>\n
  • Schedule:<\/strong> Approximately 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM<\/strong>\n
  • School Year: <\/strong>(2026\/2027 school year)\n
  • Work Calendar:<\/strong> Works during student attendance days<\/strong> plus 2-3 training days<\/strong> during the year\n
  • Pay Range:<\/strong> $27-$30\/hour<\/strong> <\/ul>\n

    Responsibilities:<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Support the classroom teacher and special education team with daily instruction and classroom routines.\n
    • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help students access the curriculum and build functional\/academic skills.\n
    • Implement behavioral supports and strategies consistently (including reinforcement and de-escalation techniques as directed).\n
    • Assist with data collection and documentation on student progress, behavior, and interventions.\n
    • Support student transitions throughout the day (arrival, classes, specials, recess\/lunch, dismissal) to ensure safety and success.\n
    • Collaborate with the school team while maintaining professionalism, flexibility, and a student-first mindset. <\/ul>\n

      Qualifications:<\/h2>\n
        \n
      • Minimum 2 years<\/strong> of special education public school classroom<\/strong> experience.\n
      • Experience supporting students with autism and\/or intensive learning needs strongly preferred.\n
      • If applying as an RBT:<\/strong> current certification required (please note no BCBA supervision<\/strong> is available in this setting).\n
      • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.\n
      • Flexible, team-oriented approach with strong communication and follow-through. <\/ul>\n
