The role primarily involves small-group or individualized instruction in areas such as reading, math, social skills, and other identified areas of need.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide specialized instruction to students based on their individual learning needs.\n<li>Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in a resource setting.\n<li>Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum goals.\n<li>Use a variety of instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse student needs.\n<li>Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment.\n<li>Assess student progress using formative and summative assessments.\n<li>Maintain accurate student records, documentation, and progress reports.\n<li>Establish clear instructional objectives and monitor progress toward academic goals.\n<li>Support students&#8217; academic, behavioral, and social development.\n<li>Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress.\n<li>Collaborate with other educators and staff to develop instructional goals, objectives, and strategies.\n<li>Follow school policies, procedures, and classroom expectations.\n<li>Participate in staff meetings, committees, and other school activities as required.\n<li>Assist with the selection and use of appropriate instructional materials and resources.\n<li>Maintain a professional and collaborative relationship with students, families, and colleagues.\n<li>Participate in professional development and ongoing professional growth.\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned by school administration. <\/ul>\n<h3>Qualifications:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s degree required.\n<li>Must hold or be eligible for a <strong>Maryland teaching license<\/strong>.\n<li>Additional certification requirements may apply based on Maryland State Department of Education and local Board of Education requirements.\n<li>Knowledge of current instructional and curricular methods.\n<li>Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.\n<li>Strong classroom management and communication skills.\n<li>Ability to effectively support students with diverse learning needs.\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a school-based team.\n<li>Professional attitude and strong organizational skills.\n<li>Ability to meet the physical demands of the classroom environment, including standing, bending, stooping, and moving classroom materials when necessary.\n<li>Crisis intervention responsibilities may include participation in physical restraint when required. <\/ul>\n<h3>Why Join This Opportunity?<\/h3>\n<p>This position offers the opportunity to work with a manageable caseload of approximately 15 students while providing targeted instruction and individualized support.
